LN Softball Programs

Rookies Divisions is for girls with a league age of 7-8 years old. Rookies is a developmental division that teaches the basic fundamentals of softball while having fun and learning about being part of a team.

Minor League Softball is for girls with a league age of 9-10 years old. Minors continue to work on the basic fundamentals of softball while playing an interleague schedule.

The Little League Softball division (also known as the Major Division) is for players with a league age of 11-12. Games are played on a 40/60 field. Girls in this division will participate in an interleague schedule and post season tournament opportunities may be available.

Uniform shirt and hat will be provided by the league.  Players are asked to provide their own glove and face mask, grey uniform pants and non medal baseball cleats for practices and games.  Each team will be provided with team helmets, bats, tees and balls.  Many players purchase their own bat & helmet but it is not required to play.

Practices and Games

Softball is typically a 2-3 day per week commitment between practices and games.  Practice will begin in the middle of March with games beginning in early April and finishing in mid June.  Following the regular season, teams participate in a divisional postseason tournament.

Weeknight games have start at  5:45 PM and  Saturday games start as early as 9:00 AM and as late as 3:00 PM.  Game start times are finalized each season based on the number of teams in each division and based on field availability.  We do not typically play on Sundays.
